FAQ

  • What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a holistic therapy that involves applying pressure to specific points on the feet, hands, or ears, which correspond to different organs and systems in the body. This helps to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and support overall well-being.

  • What can reflexology help with?

Reflexology can support a wide range of concerns, including stress relief, anxiety, digestive issues, hormonal balance, sleep problems, pain management, fertility, maternity care, and palliative care. While it is not a medical treatment, many people find it beneficial for relaxation and overall health.

  • What happens during a reflexology session?

Each session begins with a consultation to discuss your health and wellness goals. You’ll then relax in a reflexology chair. I place a pillow under your feet, a blanket to ensure you're warm then you take a pick of which aromatherapy oil you would like to be used. I then begin the massage on the feet by applying gentle pressure to specific reflex points. The treatment is deeply relaxing, and many clients even fall asleep!

  • Does reflexology hurt?

Reflexology is generally very relaxing, but you may feel slight tenderness in areas that correspond to imbalances in the body. Any discomfort is temporary and should ease as the session progresses. The pressure can always be adjusted to your comfort level.

  • How long does a session last?

A typical reflexology session lasts 60 minutes. Your first appointment lasts an hour and a half to cover a full in-depth consultation.

  • Can reflexology be done during pregnancy?

Yes! Reflexology is a wonderful therapy during pregnancy and can help support relaxation, reduce swelling, improve sleep, and prepare the body for birth. I offer specialised maternity reflexology tailored to each stage of pregnancy.

  • Is reflexology safe for everyone?

Reflexology is a gentle therapy and is suitable for most people. However, if you have certain medical conditions (such as deep vein thrombosis, open wounds on the feet, or severe circulatory issues), I may need to adapt the treatment or recommend consulting your doctor first.

  • Do you offer home visits?

Yes! I only provide reflexology treatments in the comfort of your own home, creating a relaxing and spa-like environment for you to unwind and experience the full benefits of the treatment.

  • How do I book a session?

Booking a session is easy! You can contact me via phone, the booking button on the top right of this website, or the contact form on my website to arrange an appointment.
